The Draw & Guess game mode
One player draws live, everyone else guesses - how a turn goes, how the points come about and what the host can set.

Draw & Guess is the quick mode for in between: one player draws a word, and everyone else watches the picture come about live, stroke by stroke. Whoever guesses first what it is meant to be gets the most points. A drawing takes a minute, not an hour - it is about the idea, not about the prettiest picture.
How a turn goes
- Pick a word. Whoever's turn it is gets three words to choose from and picks one. After 15 seconds the game picks one for them.
- Draw and guess. Everyone else watches the picture grow and types their guesses into the field on the right (below the picture on a phone). Above the picture there is a box for each letter - so you know how long the word is.
- The reveal. Once everyone has found the word or the time is up, the word is shown, with who guessed it and how many points they got. Then it is the next player's turn.
In every round, every player draws once. After the last round you get the ranking with a podium and all the drawings of the game.
Guessing
- Upper and lower case, umlauts and punctuation do not matter: "ice cream", "Icecream" and "ice-cream!" all count the same.
- If you are very close (one letter off, two from eight letters on), the game tells you - only you; the others do not see that guess.
- Wrong guesses are shown to everyone. The right one is shown to nobody: the feed only says who found it. A short chime plays with it - louder for the player who just found it.
- Once you have found the word you can keep writing - but only those who know it too, and the drawer, read along.
- With Letter hints on, one letter is uncovered at half time (words of four letters or more), and for words of six letters or more a second one at three quarters.
Points
- For guessing: the faster, the more - up to 500 points right at the start, 100 in the last second. Whoever is right first gets 50 points on top.
- For drawing: up to 300 points, depending on how many found the word. If everyone guesses it, you get the full
Drawing
To draw you have Pen, Pencil, Soft brush, Airbrush, Marker (with a slanted tip) and Eraser, plus Fill, Undo (also Ctrl+Z) and Clear everything. Colours come from the palette, or any colour from the rainbow swatch next to it.
For each brush you set the Size and the Opacity, and under Pen pressure what the pressure of your tablet pen changes: the size, the opacity, both or nothing. Each brush remembers its settings. With a mouse or a finger you draw at full pressure.
Everything you draw, the others see at once - point by point, with pressure and brush.
If you lose your connection during your own turn, you have a few seconds to come back - your drawing is still there. If you stay away, the turn ends, and a player who is not there when their turn begins is skipped.
For the host
In the lobby, click the Draw & Guess card under Game mode. Then you can set:
- Rounds: 1 to 10. In every round, every player draws once.
- Time to draw: 30 to 240 seconds per drawing, 80 by default.
- Words: the German or the English word list.
- Letter hints: on or off.
- Own words: a list, one word per line or separated by commas. They are mixed into the word list - or, with Only own words, used on their own (that needs at least three). Perfect for your community's in-jokes.
In the game, the hammer menu has Skip: it ends picking the word, the drawing or the reveal at once. The same menu has Pause: the game stops between turns - while the word is picked or shown - and the feed says it is paused. A pause is not possible in the middle of a drawing.
At the end, Next game takes everyone into a new lobby with the same settings.
What is not saved
Draw & Guess is just for fun: the drawings do not go into your history, your library or your profile, and the game does not count as an ordinary game in your statistics. Draw & Guess has achievements of its own instead - a game counts when it is played to the end and at least one word was drawn in it. The drawings at the end exist only on the page while you have it open - if you want to keep one, take a screenshot.
